Kitchen Re-model!

Well, this post has been a long time coming! We began redoing our kitchen back in February -- oh how time sweeps away from us. Many of you may remember when we redid our good friends, Lance and Lauren's kitchen while they were out of town as a surprise to them http://danianddavesmith.blogspot.com/2009/10/what-weekend.html. Well, we all live in the same condo complex and our kitchen's are completely the same set up. After we did their kitchen, we so badly wanted to do our own. So, we did some saving, a lot of researching, and after a lot of sweat (mostly poured out by my sweet husband), we are finished -- well, minus a new fridge and dishwasher, but we've got some more saving to do for those items!! I didn't take as in depth pictures of our kitchen as I did with Lance and Lauren's, but you can revisit their kitchen post by clicking on the url above for a reminder if you want. The refrigerator is to the left in this picture. I didn't take any pictures of it because it's just an old, WHITE fridge. But, don't worry.. when we replace it, I'll make sure to put up before and after pics of that as well. Home projects are so much fun!! But, the thing about home projects is... once you start one, you just can't stop until you have re-decorated, re-modeled, re-done EVERYTHING in your house. In the midst of fun home projects, I do have to stop and pray for contentment every now and then and remember that my self worth isn't found in a fancy home. It's not about keeping up with the Jones' (and I don't mean you, Lance and Lauren!!), it's about a little fun and a renewed spirit in a clean, and clutter free home.
