~CB is currently 9 months old~
This week my tiny tot was ALL about opening and closing things. She even opened her first kitchen cabinet door. Yes, those baby proofing cabinet locks were installed! :) Check.
Once again, my tot LOVES her Stand & Groove Table. I don’t know where we would be without this thing. It’s definitely a “must have” in my book! In the middle of the table (at least ours anyway) there is a stationary book with one plastic page. On one page there are characters with musical notes all around them and on the other page there are characters with shapes and numbers all around them. This week, CB spent most all of her time flipping the page back and forth. When you turn the page (in either direction) it makes the sound of a magical wand. I felt like I was in princess world ALL WEEK! But, she LOVED it! :)
If she wasn’t flipping the page back and forth to hear magic wand sounds, she was opening and closing the little purple door underneath the book. Inside the door is a little container. I like to put her puffs in there so she has a little snack wile she plays. Sweet momma, I know! :) So, while she is eating her snack, I hear “open,” “close,” “hello,” “bye bye” over and over and over again as she opens and closes the door. At least I know it’s educational. :)
And of course, no week is complete without a few books! CB had lots of fun reading her Touch and Feel book this week. I thought it was really precious that she knew each page had a different texture. She spent a good 20 minutes sitting on the floor just feeling all the different animals on each page. Already “Reading to Self” longer than my 1st graders did! :) That’s my girl!
It was a great week in Tot School! See ya next week! :)
